Exceptionally well-appointed lodge. The extra-large main entertainment area has wall to wall windows with stunning views and consists of a large open plan area with catering kitchen (There is also a larger separate well fitted commercial kitchen) Snack Bar, Dining area, Built in Braai, Additional fireplace, Games and Lounge Areas. Stacking doors open to patio with swimming pool.
The lodge offers 5 bedrooms all en-suite. All bedrooms come with private balcony for exquisite private nature and game viewing. Four of the rooms have lofts with a double bed each.
The lodge consists of 4 separate structures, the main one in the middle houses the entertainment area and one of the bedrooms. The two next door on either side accommodate two bedrooms each. The fourth structure houses the large double garage with storeroom and staff quarters with additional parking in front of the garage.
The lodge has Eskom power but has an adequate 8 KVA 16 panel / 3 battery solar system that caters for all eventualities as well as a 10 000 lt backup water tank with pump.
The Lodge lends itself to a variety of uses. It can be a getaway for the extended family or managed as a public game lodge. Due to all the rooms being completely private it could be used as a shared investment by five families each owning 20% It could also be used as a timeshare facility.
The lodge is situated in the Mabalingwe Big Five Game reserve of 8800 hectares. The lodge is approximately one hour and forty five minutes drive north of Pretoria and very close to Elements and Zebula Golf Reserves. The reserve is home to all major plains game species, all of which are free roaming including ( Except for Lions which are in a predator camp) Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo , Leopard, Giraffe, Sable, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra , Impala, Nyala , Waterbuck, Warthog, Bush pig, duiker, Red Hartebeest, Blesbuck, Mountain Reed Buck, Klipspringer, Duiker, Steenbok, Pangolin, Aardvark, Aardwolf, Mongoose, Porcupine, Scrub Hare, Jackal etc.
All game on the whole Mabalingwe Big Five Game Reserve that roam freely belong to a management consortium and it is their responsibility to look after the well-being and controlling number of the animals
