This farm measures 59 ha and has a lot to offer for someone who wishes to be part of nature. Ownership is full title.
This opportunity allow you to buy into the Buffelsdrift Conservancy located in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains, 15 km west of Ladismith. The Buffelsdrift conservancy is an area of 1600 ha made up of 18 title deed holders who are bound through a set of rules to conserve the area along nature conservation principles.
This is not an opportunity to start a small scale farm with the aim of being self-sufficient or to start a small business but rather an opportunity to be part of a group of like minded individuals living in and with nature.
As a member you have traversing rights over the other members properties and access to paths, dams and jeep tracks while still respecting each others privacy. The 18 title deeds make up the conservancy which has been in existence since 2006 and is managed by the land owners committee with strong financial and management skills.
The conservancy is home to a large variety of animals ranging from Aardvark all the way through to Zebra. Another aspect which makes the conservancy unique is that it is located within the confluence of the Groot and Klein Swart Rivers which are fed from the Swartberg Mountains. There is no dwelling on the property but offers excellent locations for building a ‘lock up and go’ or permanent residence home with magnificent view.
Water is provided via a pipeline by the farm owner association.
There is a borehole on the property but is sealed with steel cap, and needs to be opened and tested.
